Rugby Iax Team History

Rugby iax Football Club was formed in the summer before the 2009/2010 season. The club�s chairman and Manger David Rabone and the Secretary Steven Morgan along with Treasurer Matthew Manning decided to form a new club after leaving local Rugby club Bilton Ajax. All three had been heavily involved in running the under 9�s team for Ajax. Whilst managing the under 9�s team, Matthew Manning introduced a new style of training that was a large departure from traditional methods. Ultimately the training proved very successful and David has continued in this style as Manager .The team started to attract the attention of top quality players and has developed to a solid squad of players Changes at the end of the season led to David, Steven, and Matthew joining the Mid � Warwickshire league and adding ten new players to form Rugby iax Football Club. All our coaches/Manager are CRB checked and the club has its own official Child Protection Officer who has the Football Association Qualified coach�s level 2 badge.
The club maybe young, but there are already plans to grow the club from the current one team; to at least two to three teams for next season. No matter how many teams turn out for Rugby iax, they will all play the same style of football. This loose, fluid, efficient and expressive style is self evident when iax play and is a joy to watch. Not only has it brought many victories but the children always have a smile on their faces when they play for us!
